Above all I rank every interview in these. Artist theoretician merchant craftsman professional amateur publisher etc. Even crap is interesting when it's alive. Along with them and every theoretical article but with personal opinions. As well as translations of excerpts from theoretical articles of foreign magazines. Responses from the outside are also useful as are the presentations of reports from the inside as long as the critical position of the writer is simple photographically justified and without empathy. Also book presentations and reviews but without ratings with stars or numbers. Comments preferably short on professional educational legislative events institutions and issues.
Photographer Portfolios unknown or famous old or new as long as they e-commerce photo editing form a coherent whole. It would not be a bad thing if a photographer journalist or theoretician a third party or a permanent collaborator of the magazine takes responsibility for the proposal and presentation of each portfolio. It also never hurts to have presentations not just portfolios of the work of important photographers given that a large part of the readership is unaware of them but those who know. Instead of technical machine tests I much prefer product presentations from someone who has worked them and tells us his opinion away from analyzes and technical tables. Also every market survey product catalog price list and list of technical information eg show times can only be of interest to us. Finally I do not think that digital photography should be the subject of a separate section or chapter.
